MEET THE CONSTRUCTION TEAM

Roger BEUSTER

Vice President of Construction / Project Manager

Growing up on a rural farm in Illinois, Roger learned the importance of building sound structures that would withstand the elements and tests of time. He remains true to these tenets in both his professional and personal journeys.

Roger attended Arizona State University, where between school terms he worked for a general contractor learning the many facets of residential construction. In 1978, he ventured to Lake Tahoe to become an accomplished skier and mountain biker. In an effort to fund his passions, Roger began working with Gerry Langlois as a carpenter.  From carpenter to project manager, Roger continues what has become a life-long working relationship with Gerry Langlois.

"The beautiful mountain homes Gerry was building in Tahoe at the time rekindled my construction interests. Thirty three years later and counting, I consider myself fortunate to have been an integral part of many G. O. Langlois masterpieces of construction, architecture, and design. The beauty and complexity of the homes we build is astounding."

With his rare and highly specialized ability to interpret architectural drawings and translate them into construction speak; Roger effectively bridges the gap between design and construction. Additionally, he is a skilled photographer, credited with many of the photos used on this website, as well as other promotional materials.

An adventurer who loves to travel, Roger is grateful for his wife of 20 years, Kathy, who is afflicted with the same "travel bug." Together they have journeyed across the United States, Europe, Africa, South America, New Zealand, and Australia.  The couple also enjoys scuba diving and has joined Gerry Langlois on diving adventures in the Caribbean and Micronesia.

MIKE CASADAY

Project Manager / Superintendent

Mike began his career at G.O. Langlois Construction in 1988, and he has a total of over 50 years experience in the industry.

Growing up in La Mesa, California, Mike worked alongside his father on multiple home projects, including forming and pouring concrete slabs and structures, building brick and block walls, and constructing small additions. As a teenager, Mike spent summers with his grandfather and uncle in the family plumbing business. Then, from 1972 to 1977 he became a heavy industrial equipment operator, including erection, excavation, and grading machinery. In running these various machines, Mike developed a deep appreciation for working outdoors, in addition to gaining a valuable education on the complex aspects of underground construction.

In 1978, Mike moved to Rancho Mirage, California, and began his education in carpentry. Within a few years, he knew that carpentry and custom home construction was his calling. G. O. Langlois Construction hired Mike in 1988, where he continues to develop and appreciate the attention to detail that renders superior results.

“For over 25 years I have been proud to be a part of a team that produces stunningly beautiful homes. I enjoy the creative process working with architects, designers, co-workers, contractors, and tradesmen to achieve our company’s end result.”
